Maryam is an international medical graduate and a Registered Chiropodist with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. After practicing medicine for over 15 years, she continued her education in Canada and obtained a Diploma in Chiropody from the Michener Institute of Education at UHN and has been qualified to work as a foot specialist. Her extensive knowledge and experience in different clinical settings help her to diagnose and treat foot-related diseases in patients of all ages. She has expertise in patients with foot pain, corn/ callus, athlete’s foot, tendonitis, ingrown toenails, nail fungus, and plantar warts.
Diabetic and senior foot care is an important part of Maryam’s practice as maintaining good blood flow to the feet helps to resist infection and heal an injury. Non-healing wounds must be avoided by these patients.
Custom made orthotics to support and protect the muscles and joints of the feet may be required. We use only state-of-the-art Laser technology to design the Orthotics, and a computerized gait scan to assess gait and problems with ambulation.
The McKenzie Method of MDT
